About

A different way forward

I’ve spent my career supporting people through some of life’s most difficult and tender moments. Before opening my private practice, I served for ten years as director of the Clinical Psychology Center at the University of Montana, and earlier worked as a psychologist in group practice, a range of healthcare settings, and therapeutic schools across New York, Chicago, and Montana.

I offer a warm, collaborative, and grounded approach to therapy. Rather than quick fixes, we work together to understand patterns, build emotional awareness, and make sense of your experiences in context. My work integrates evidence-based practice with deep respect for each person’s own wisdom and capacity for growth.

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you’re used to handling things on your own. You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin. If any of this resonates, therapy can be a space to slow down, think together, and explore where you want to go next.

Services

I see individuals, couples, families, and groups, working with adolescents and adults across a wide range of concerns. Many people come to me around anxiety, life transitions, and trauma, among others:

Insurance & Fees

I’m in-network with many major insurance plans. When you use your in-network benefits, you typically pay only your copay, coinsurance, or any remaining deductible — not my full session fee.

Coverage varies from plan to plan, so it’s worth checking your specific benefits with your insurer to understand any out-of-pocket cost. You’re always welcome to reach out with questions before getting started.

Frequently asked questions

It begins with a 15-minute call so we can get a feel for fit. From there, I’ll send intake paperwork through the client portal, and we’ll schedule a first session to talk things through and decide together how to move forward.
I work with adolescents and adults, and see individuals, couples, families, and groups across a wide range of concerns — from anxiety and life transitions to trauma, grief, and relationship challenges.
Sessions are typically 50 minutes. Many clients meet weekly to begin, and we’ll find a rhythm that fits your needs and goals together.
Yes. I see clients both in person in Missoula and online through secure telehealth. Working across state lines is possible through PsyPACT — an interstate compact that authorizes qualified psychologists to provide telehealth to clients in participating states. I’m licensed in Montana and New York, and through PsyPACT I can also work with clients located in any of the 40+ participating states. That list keeps growing, so the simplest way to check is the official PsyPACT map: see if your state is included →
Yes — I’m in-network with many major plans, including BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna & Evernorth, Optum, UnitedHealthcare, PacificSource, and others. With in-network benefits, most clients pay only their copay, coinsurance, or remaining deductible. Coverage varies by plan, so it’s worth confirming your specific benefits with your insurer.
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule, so the time can be offered to someone else.
